Minutes – Wilmington LWRP Citizen’s Cmte Meeting:   November 28, 2006       Dredging PPT

Business:

·         December meeting postponed to January 16^th.

·         Waterfront Funding and Project Committee will need to be established as the LWRP winds down.

·         Timesheets and Surveys collected.

·         Field Trip to Wells – postponed to spring.

·         Someone needs to review Web page and Town Clerk LWRP Book help make sure it is as up to date and easy to use as possible.  Judi G. volunteered.

Work:

·         Follow up on Community Meeting:

o        Girl Scouts proposal with ASRA?  They want to do water quality monitoring or other project for LWRP. 

·         Upcoming:  we will be reviewing the LWRP drafts with DOS; then in spring the document will go to Town Boards. 

·         David Wick presentation – feasibility study, dredging process in general.  Posted on web. 

·         Ideas on using local expertise to meet match on study / beach plan grant:  Guy Stephenson?

·         Ideas from Halls on Bird Preserve

Other related News:

·         Judi – grant to landscape the library?. Not selected. 

·         History museum / community center idea?  This idea may be able to be carried forward through an application for funding from the Olympic Byways grant.  A small group will consider submitting a proposal, possibly through the Wilmington Historical Society.
